Description
“Uji” is located southern outskirts of Kyoto city.It flourished late Heian period (11th century ) by imperial court , especially “Fujiwara” clan who built “Byodo-in” temple.
On one hand “Uji” is known as Japanese tea production site and center of tea drinking culture in Japan.
